When correctly positioned and fully closed, the opaque panel blocks the covered camera’s view. Open it before a meeting, online class, or video chat, then close it again when you are finished.

Placement matters
Before attaching the cover, identify the webcam lens and nearby microphones, indicator lights, ambient-light sensors, or infrared cameras. Position the opening carefully so the cover does not interfere with other components.

Important laptop compatibility check
Some laptops have extremely tight clearance between the display and keyboard when closed. A camera cover can put pressure on the screen even if it looks thin. Check your laptop manufacturer’s guidance and the cover’s dimensions before installation. Never force the lid closed over the cover.

This accessory covers the camera lens only. It does not disable microphones, disconnect the camera electronically, or replace device-security settings.
